Supervised Parenting Time & Exchanges

Colorado Family Solutions provides convenient, affordable supervised parenting time and no-contact parenting exchanges, at our facility or your chosen location.  Each visit is supervised by  trained professional, who provides documentation of each visit.

Supervised visits are used when there are safety concerns, such as:
Domestic violence: or the presence of a restraining order.
Severe conflict: or feuding between the parents.
     Parental alienation .
Repeat issues with exchanges, like consistent late arrivals or               arguments during handoffs.

How do they work?
1. Court Order:  Often, a judge orders supervised parenting time or exchanges as part of a divorce or custody case.
2. Supervisors:  A neutral, trained individual or organization (like a supervised exchange center) acts as the supervisor.
3. Safety and Documentation:  Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the child's safety, monitoring the interaction, and documenting observations for the court.
4. Facilitated Transition:  Supervisors help the child transition between parents smoothly and provide a conflict-free environment for interaction.

The Benefits of Supervised Visits and Exchanges:

Child Safety:  The primary goal is to keep the child safe from parental conflict or potentially unsafe situations.
Parental Well-being:  These services protect parents from each other, reducing tension and the risk of conflict during exchanges.
Healthy Relationships:  Supervised settings create an atmosphere where children can develop a relationship with the non-custodial parent without being caught in the middle of disputes

Visits may be scheduled on weekends and evenings to work with your schedule.
