Divorce/Parent Coaching

Whether you are seeking assistance alone or with your partner or co-parent, we can listen and assist you with almost any parenting, divorce or separation matter.

What a divorce/parenting coach does:

  • Provides emotional support: Helps clients process emotions, reduce stress, and build resilience.

  • Offers strategic guidance: Assists with planning for meetings, preparing for the court system, and developing communication strategies.

  • Facilitates decision-making: Acts as a sounding board to help clients evaluate options and make informed choices.

  • Focuses on the future: Helps clients set goals, develop new life skills, and transition to their next chapter with confidence.

  • Manages logistics: Supports clients with the practical aspects of separation and divorce.

  • Promotes co-parenting skills: Assists parents in developing effective co-parenting plans.

What a coach does NOT do:

  • Give legal advice: Coaches are not attorneys.

  • Provide therapy or counseling: They are not mental health professionals.

  • Offer financial advice: Coaches do not act as financial advisors.

When to consider a divorce coach:

  • Feeling overwhelmed: If you are stressed, emotional, or unfocused by the divorce process.

  • Needing a thinking partner: To help you clarify your goals and evaluate options objectively.

  • Preparing for meetings: To boost confidence and prepare for court and/or mediation.

  • Navigating co-parenting: To develop strategies for raising children after the divorce.

How it works:

  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR):  Coaching is a form of alternative dispute resolution, supporting clients in navigating conflicts peacefully.

  • Personalized Support:  Coaches offer tailored plans and support to fit each client's unique needs and concerns.

  • Collaboration: Divorce coaches can work with your legal team and other professionals to create a comprehensive support system

Our coaching is usually with only one of the parties because, if both parties are willing to attend, mediation is the most productive option.
